The world is shrinking thanks to the Internet. We are actually the first generations to be in such a privileged situation. We now can sit comfortably in our easy chairs and look at a slide show of real photos of our planet taken from a satellite, and spend hours contemplating the width and breath of the Universe through the eyes of the Hubble Telescope.

As for Sharma’s movie, I think we all agree that “a kiss is just a kiss”, regardless of the geographical setting. Where have I heard that before?

That is incorrect. There have been kisses in Indian movies since even before independence (although they were rarer than they are now). There is a lot of ignorance about India in the Western world.
