OK, so the Tories have not been what you might call pro-gay, and have caused problems in the past, but Labour have not “forced tolerance” on anyone. All they’ve done is either antagonise and piss people off with their incessant nannying and interference, or else they have done Sweet Fanny Adams and sat on their hands.
The only time they have actually pulled their fat fingers out of their arses and actively done anything is when the EU has forced them to.

I do not believe that the true nature of the Tories will permit that row of gay venues to continue to overlook MI6. They’ll see it as an embarrassment. They’ll see a lot of things that we enjoy as a result of the tolerance that Labour has fostered as an embarrassment.

Believe me, I’m not living in fear of those venues opposite MI6, themselves, being swept away. I don’t use them. It’s the change in attitude that I fear.

No gay man who supports the Tories today can have experienced what it was like working as a teacher under “Section 28″, the gagging law that was imposed upon us by the Tories until the country finally said “Enough!”
